I developed a gamified supplement to the U.S. Air Force's five-day instructor-led training course on emotional intelligence, specifically designed for non-commissioned officer airmen. Utilizing advanced game design principles, I created an interactive game where airmen encountered various scenarios, requiring them to choose how to react. This approach provided real-world examples of applying their newly acquired skills in the field, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
The project was a collaborative effort, working closely with graphic designers to develop game materials. To ensure effectiveness, the game was rigorously playtested in multiple group sessions. The result was an innovative training tool that significantly enhanced the emotional intelligence training program for the USAF.
